Affiliate link redirection

Hello: I have a WordPress site filled with affiliate links. I want to make site be more "clean" so the idea is to get rid of affiliate links.
It is a relatively big site, over 1.8K pages. What I ‘ve learned is that using wp redirection plugins increase server load.

I also don’t want to have redirects on that domain so my idea is next:
1. Registering a similar domain name (same name, just different extension. .co instead of com) so people browsing site won’t maybe even notice thy are going to another domain.
2. Once someone click to that other domain, it will be redirected to affiliate link instead. That second site will have WordPress and redirection plugin.

what do you think,is this shady in any way and can it become shady at some point? I don’t want first site panlized.
thanks

Google speed measurement tools

OK, until this moment I was using Google Page Insight., and I ‘ve just discovered this tool (recommended from Google analytics):
https://testmysite.withgoogle.com/intl/en-gb

The trick is that it is giving different results than the first one. A site that is optimized and in "green" with Google Page Insight is marked as totally problematic with new tool
Any ideas?

Site structure question

I would be thankful to hear your opinions about next situation.

The current website is made in custom CMS that was never planned to be SEOed.
But changing complete website with integrated payment module and the established system seems like too much work.
I am aware that it would be the best option.

So the alternative is to leave the site as it is and create a new section that will target related keyword. Based on WordPress, for example.
Question is: will and how the "old" part of the site affect SEO performance of optimized pages in the new section?

thanks

post date on SERP

Hello:

I am trying to resolve next but I am unsuccessful and can’t figure it out.

There is the date coming first on google SERP for my ranked page in Google. it is a wordpress site, I’ve deleted dates and cleared site cache but still,
it is there. When I check Yahoo for example, everything is fine. So I believe it is some google cache. Is there a way to fix this?

thank you

Keywords not ranking at all

Hello:

Since recently, I’ve purchased SEO analysis software and discovered a shocking fact that most of my work that I did in the previous
6 months is totally useless. There is over 300 pages optimized for keywords are not ranked in google at all.

They are low competition long tail keywords and regarding my site rank, it should get at least something.

Is there a way to understand what is going on? Is it my bad link profile maybe?

thank you

Best way to link site?

Hello:
I am in the process of obtaining new links for my site. I know, it is stupid, I wasn’t doing this for years so I am trying to solve that now.
Anyway, considering that I am offering people to link my site in exchange for link on another site in my network,
I am looking for the answer to next question:

Is it better to link directly to the index page (domain name) or I should ask for links pointing to different pages (with different anchors)?

I am talking about few hundreds of niche relevant links that I want to get in the next period.

thank you

GWT and 404

Ok, after getting some help from some of the members here, I’ve finally started working on my site.
I’ve bought some tools, and now I am shocked how many errors are there.

I am trying to figure out so many things and basically, the feeling of panic is stronger than a rational thinking. I am now trying to establish
a priority plan and fix what should be fixed.

One fo the things I’ve just noticed in Google Webmaster Tools is that sitemap has 11 errors.
404 URL. I’ve manually clicked on those, some are really 404 and some are there.

What should be done in a situation like this considering that some 404 are reported back in 2016 (even if pages are there)?

thank you

Google/bing/yahoo ratio

I was always wondering is it possible to get more traffic from Yahoo and bing. Obviously, I am struggling with google, but will next
figures tell you something? I mean, is this ratio equivalent to their share of search markets?

For example, one of the days last week:

1. Google: 1274
2. Bing: 204
3. Yahoo: 168
