Launching new site

Hello,

We have a new site ready to lauch, it will be taking over from our current site and all redirects will be put in place for each page pointing from the old site to the new site. The owners of the business are very worried about the potential loss in organic traffic that could occur when we launch. I have been told many times before that Google may drop your rankings when launching because it is a big change. Is it still the case that Google will need to crawl the site a few times before ranking it? How long would it usually take before we regain our organic positions? And do you have any advise for us to minimise organic traffic loss during the launch period?

Thanks,
Chris

How long before new adgroups see impressions?

Hi,

If i create a new ad group, how long would it usually take for it to get impressions? An ad group I made has been live for aprrox 24 hours and has seen no impressions so i’m not sure if the bid is too low or Google just hasn’t reviewed it yet.

Also how do you normally decide what your max cpc is when adding a new keyword? I find it hard to deicde the value to input as I have no idea where it will rank for that amount.

Daily rank tracker tool

Hi,

My boss puts a lot of pressure on me about ranking positions and asks about them on a daily basis, so I end up manually checking the positions every morning to see where we are ranked for about 10 of our keywords. I’d love it if there was a free or very cheap tool that would check my positions every morning and notify me of them every day. Is there a tool that can do this? I currently have subrisctions for both AHrefs and SEMrush but these do not check the rankings daily.

Thanks,
Chris

What SEO tools do you use?

I have decided that Moz just isn’t good enough anymore so I am going to end my paid subsription with them. I use AHrefs and I think that is a more comprehensive tool than Moz. But what other tools would you recommend? I was thinking about buying a SEMrush subsription, but is it worth having both AHrefs and SEMrush?

Thanks

Is Moz now obsolete?

So my main tools that I use for seo are AHrefs and Moz. I mainly used AHrefs for link data, keyword data etc and then moz for the site crawl feature. But now AHrefs has an amazing new site crawl feature that I think is better than Moz. So does Moz actaully have any purpose anymore? I feel that Ahrefs does everything that Moz does and more.
